The History…
Back in 1988 Fairport developed PAM to cater for the needs of the general “broad acre” (wheat and sheep) type farmers.
Early in the 1990’s Heytesbury Beef of Western Australia and S Kidman & Co of South Australia bought many copies of PAM to help them better manage their vast pastoral operations. Around the same time PAM was redeveloped with a variety of cattle station features that is now available to all clients.
Today pastoralists are using PAM and PAM’s Mapping Module to get better control of their operations across the entire breadth of Australia. Many stations in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the NT use PAM’s IAR (Individual Animal Records) Module to keep track of their breeding herds. Both sheep and cattle station operators find PAM invaluable.
