Windows Vista Compatibility

We are still doing ongoing testing with Windows Vista.

It seems ALL the software needs to be run in “Administration Mode” (instructions: Microsoft Support)

PAM QA , PAM QA Mapping, PAM QA Farmstar (with IAR, Multiclient if installed)
- Version 5.9.9 will get a Memory Access Violation Message when starting - click OK; Otherwise seems OK
- OK Version 6.0

Pocket PAM
PALM - It will sync with Palm Handhelds if it is already installed. Palm have released a version 6.2 of Palm Desktop that is not compatible with Pocket PAM at this stage. PALM have not released Quick Install for the old versions of PALM Desktop for Vista.
However, a company called Business Technology Solved has developed PalmVista Simple Installer, an application that performs the same tasks as Palm Quick Install, but offers support for Windows Vista.
What you need to do is -
Palm Desktop 4.1.4e needs to be installed if you don't already have it on your computer Palm download site. Then Download and Install Palm Vista Installer Setup.MSI;
Palm Desktop 6.2 for Windows - Does not work (as at 31/03/2008)

Pocket PC – Seems OK; Will need to install new Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center version 6.1 if not already in the Vista version (version 6 does not pick up the device name on some PDA's)
